Documents
Remember to prepare your V5C documentation, ID and bank details so a collection can be made simple. Scrap Cars R Us understands that the paperwork can often be confusing, so we can help you to fill out all required details and return this paperwork directly to the DVLA.
Because we operate as an authorised treatment facility, we can issue a Certificate of Destruction once the car recycling process ends.
Payments

With the paperwork completed and payment made, we return your ELV to our yard in Coulsdon where it is depolluted of fuels and fluids.
Recycling
After depollution, the last step of a scrap car collection is for us to break down the ELV, salvage any working parts that can be sold to the UK aftermarket, and process the remaining scrap metals so that a baled consignment can be easily transported to a secondary buyer.
These metals go on to be repurposed, typically in manufacturing, and as much as 95% of the scrap received by our yard is duly recycled.
